　　宮鋒，博士，現(xiàn)任美國(guó)邁阿密大學(xué)米勒醫(yī)學(xué)院生化與分子生物學(xué)副教授，承擔(dān)美國(guó)國(guó)家健康研究所(NIH) $1.8 million資助項(xiàng)目，R01 ES017784課題組負(fù)責(zé)人，擔(dān)任Nature自然雜志邁阿密會(huì)議組委會(huì)委員。擔(dān)任包括《Methods》特邀主編和《Nature Structural & Molecular Biology》、《PNAS》、《Journal of Biological Chemistry》多家國(guó)際著名雜志審稿編委。承擔(dān)邁阿密大學(xué)米勒醫(yī)學(xué)院醫(yī)學(xué)生、碩士博士生分子生物學(xué)和生化課程的教學(xué)。在中國(guó)科學(xué)院上海植物生理研究所取得博士學(xué)位后，曾在美國(guó)斯坦福大學(xué)生物醫(yī)學(xué)系從事博士后研究。在重要學(xué)術(shù)刊物包括Science, Nature Structure & Molecular Biology，美國(guó)科學(xué)院院刊PNAS、JBC等雜志發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文30余篇。
    
　　講座摘要：
　　Maintenance of genomic integrity is of fundamental importance to all living organisms. Defects in DNA repair are found in human diseases associated with increased cancer frequency. Damage sensing proteins and DNA repair enzymes must deal with the highly compact and dynamic structure of chromatin. Dr. Gong’s research focus is to understand how DNA repair pathways operate in chromatin to remove DNA lesions. Recently, Dr. Gong’s group has found evidence that the SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex plays an important role to facilitate NER. Several subunits of the human SWI/SNF complex are encoded by tumor suppressor genes.
